SNIPIT allows you to ask for more information on what you hear, if you’re listening to a SNIPIT-enabled radio station. Depending on the station it could be song information, advertisers, editorials, games or contests. SNIPIT will deliver to you the information using text messaging. Over time, there will be thousands of SNIPIT stations. If you use a Blackberry or other device with a keyboard, you may find using text messaging even easier.
This is a quick guide to using our services. If at any time you need more assistance just text the word "help" to SNIPIT (764748) or email support@snipit.com.
It all starts with you, the listener. When you want more info on something you just heard (what was the name of that song?) send a text message to the SNIPIT short code 764748 (that spells SNIPIT on your phone key pad) with the station’s call sign or SNIPIT ID in the body of the message. If your phone asks you for a subject, leave that blank.
SNIPIT will send you back a text message with details on recent broadcast items (and an email if you’ve registered your email address).
You just reply with the letter of the item you’re interested in.
SNIPIT has sent additional information about the selected item. If you register your email address with us, we will send you a link to a music store where you may purchase the song; we call that a SNIPITune.
SNIPIT uses text messaging. There is no charge for using SNIPIT, you simply pay your cell phone company the normal charges for the text messages to and from SNIPIT. Check with your provider for rates. Many will provide a plan with flat rates and very economical pricing.
